    • Scottish Rite
    • Egleston
    • Hughes Spalding

The purpose of Inpatient Support Services is to support and encourage families during unexpected and sometimes lengthy hospital admissions, which places strains on our families caring for those who suffer with SCD. These family issues that range from the financial to the emotional. Our goal is to bridge the gaps and to provide services that inspire sensitivity, compassion, empowerment and a connection among the families travelling this journey.

By having a presence and providing these services as part of CHOA/AFLA inpatient care, FACE Foundation will work to break the cultural silence that exists in the sickle cell community by connecting families in an informal social environment where they can share experiences, information and resources, as well as understand that they are not alone.

"Love cannot remain by itself -- it has no meaning. Love has to be put into action, and that action is service." - Mother Teresa
